Why choose Lighthouse Money Management?

For many decades, Lighthouse Money Management has helped generations of local residents and families with expert financial advice.

We’re proud of our excellent reputation and long-standing position at the heart of Goderich and Huron County. We live here, our families grew up here, so we are passionate about helping people who live in this very special part of Ontario.

Fast forward to today, we are still at the heart of our community in Goderich, overlooking the Courthouse Square, and just a short walk from the water’s edge on Lake Huron.

In the 1950s, Mr Patrick Whalen first gave financial advice to local people in  Huron County. In 1992, he was joined by his son Dean Whalen.

By 1999, the business was booming and Dean partnered with Judy Jenkins, helping generations of local families with a range of financial planning, insurance, retirement and pension advice.  Dean and Judy realized that the business needed a new name that reflected its roots in the local community and its commitment to solid, reliable advice for all: Lighthouse Money Management Inc. was born.

“Lighthouse represents strength, stability, a safe harbour in difficult times.”

Dean Whalen

When Dean Whalen and Judy Jenkins retired, they passed on Lighthouse Money Management to current owners and business partners Julie-Anne Lizewski CFP® and Glen Steinson QAFP™.

Today, Julie-Anne and Glen are ably supported by an expert administrative team, enabling them to help more families, farmers, miners, nuclear employees, county employees and residents with financial advice they can trust and rely on.
